BonnieHi, my name is Bonnie. I am a mother of two, grandmother of 4, and a widow since 2003. The sudden and unexpected loss of my husband of nearly 3 decades was a tremendous blow. While the heartache consumed me, I was comforted by something I had read not long before his death. It said that everyone who we come in contact with in our lives is a gift to us from God. It was only when I remembered how truly blessed I was, to have had Dave in my life for all those years, that I was able to move on.

Every year for our anniversary, Dave would send me red roses for the number of years we had been married and one white rose to symbolize the future. It was a tradition that I treasured, however, being the frugal one, when I saw the bill for the two dozen roses, I made him limit the red roses to a single dozen. After all, I knew the meaning behind them. Had My Hidden Legacy existed then, I’m sure Dave would have said, “To hell with frugality”, and sent three dozen roses! In addition, I’m sure he would have had a case of beer sent to his friend, Chester, for all the times they told us wives that they were going fishing and ended up at the bar instead!

So, from the pain, sorrow, and loss, coupled with those fond memories and the vision and inspiration of my dear friend (and truly one of those God given gifts), and now business partner, Byron, My Hidden Legacy, was formed.

Now my daughter will continue to receive that single pink rose every year on her birthday. And my son, well, he’ll just have to wait to see the legacy that I leave for him!
